The Department offers 3-Year Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Accounting Honours) with 192 Seats from the year 1974-74. The admission into this UG Course is done by the Government of Odisha through Students Academic Management System (SAMS).

The Bachelor of Commerce is a three years study course of commerce subject and will help the learner in establishing a career in Accounting, Finance Operations, Taxation and other related fields. B.Com degree generally gives the knowledge to students about Accounting of goods, types of account ledgers, profit and loss, how to maintain different accounts, taxation, different laws and procedures of Accounting and calculations of different taxes and many more. This degree is the stepping stone and the best career options for further higher studies professional degrees like M.Com, MBA, Company Secretary, Chartered Accountancy, Chartered Financial Analyst, and Cost Accountancy and many more.

1	The 2-Year Master of Arts in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations (MAPM&IR) (Full Time) Course is duly permitted by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha and affiliated to Utkal University from the academic year 2011-13 with 60 intake capacity. The admission into the Course is conducted on the basis of qualifying marks. The Department draws annual academic calendar, and focuses on Career Oriented Programmes, Soft-Skill Development, Pre-Placement Training in PSU's, Industrial visits, and participatory teaching. The team of faculty members as a part of academic curriculum prepares the continuing students for various competitive examinations with theoretical teaching and practices beyond the teaching hours.
