Vibrant department of the college. Physics Honours was opened in the year 1959. Now the Honours students' strength of the department is 39 for each of the 3 years.
The department maintains a seminar book library from which books are issued to the students for reference. Regular seminars do take place as per one time table, in which final year students are encouraged to discuss seminar talks. People of eminence are also invited as guests to deliver talks on science topics every year.
Students also celebrate welcome and farewell ceremonies, Teachers' day, Ganesh Puja and Saraswati Puja, Study tour and picnic are also a part and parcel of the departmental activities.
